Plaza Dorrego

Plaza Dorrego is one of the few squares in Buenos Aires that is completely paved, marked by a flat, open space of stone set against the surrounding colonial-era mansions. Located in the San Telmo neighborhood, the square serves as a quiet center for coffee and conversation on weekdays, but it undergoes a transformation on Sundays. On that day, it becomes the site of the Feria de San Telmo, an open-air market where hundreds of vendors occupy the cobblestone floor to sell antiques, vintage silver, and old books.
