The Mount Coot-tha Summit Lookout sits two hundred twenty-six meters above sea level, identifiable by its large, elevated viewing platform paved with terrazzo and marked by an inlaid brass star. This site serves as a panoramic vantage point overlooking Brisbane and, on clear days, as far as Moreton Bay. Long before the concrete and steel structure arrived, the summit was known as One-Tree-Hill, a name taken from the single large eucalyptus tree that stood alone on the otherwise cleared knoll.
