Henley Beach Jetty

landmark

The Henley Beach Jetty stretches into the waters of Gulf Saint Vincent, a long wooden walkway that has defined this coastline since eighteen eighty-three. It serves as a permanent anchor for the suburb, connecting the sandy shore to the lively Henley Square plaza. While today it is a quiet spot for fishers and strollers, it was once home to a grand, three-storey pavilion completed in nineteen fifteen. This building featured a café on the ground floor, a music room for visitors, and a roof garden for ocean views, all lit by electric lighting.
