The Cascade Brewery is recognizable by its regal, sandstone facade set against the steep, forested slopes of kunanyi, or Mount Wellington. As the oldest continuously operating brewery in Australia, the site has produced beer since eighteen thirty-two, drawing its water directly from the nearby Hobart Rivulet.
