Emu Creek Bridge - 1907

landmark

The Emu Creek Bridge in Bulla is identifiable by its three reinforced concrete spans, which form a distinctive, low-slung profile over the water. Completed in nineteen oh seven, this structure represents an early Australian experiment with reinforced concrete beam engineering. At the time of its construction, the bridge was the largest of its kind in Victoria, marking a shift away from the traditional stone and timber designs that had dominated local road projects for decades.
