The Midland Town Hall is recognizable by the heavy, four-sided clock mounted atop its central dome, which sits at the corner of the Great Eastern Highway and the Old Great Northern Highway. Officially opened in January nineteen oh seven, the building was designed by architects Richard Maloney Hamilton and Frederick William Upton in the Federation Free Classical style. It served as the municipal council chambers and administration centre for the Midland Junction district for over sixty years.
