Solar dos Abacaxis

The Solar dos Abacaxis in the Cosme Velho neighborhood is a nineteenth-century neoclassical mansion distinguished by the iron pineapples mounted on the railings of its first-floor balconies. Built in eighteen forty-three, the house is attributed to the architect José Maria Jacinto Rebelo. Its design incorporates academic features like a triangular pediment and stylized capital pillars, alongside a romantic attic space under a double-pitched roof.
