Quinta Bandstand (Chinese Pagoda)

The Quinta Bandstand, commonly called the Chinese Pagoda, stands out in the Quinta da Boa Vista park for its sweeping, curved roof and architecture modeled after traditional Eastern temples. Inaugurated in nineteen ten, the structure sits within the expansive grounds that once served as the private gardens for the São Cristóvão Palace, the nineteenth-century residence of the Portuguese royal family and later the Emperors of Brazil.
