The Obelisk of São Paulo stands seventy-two meters tall, a stark, white pillar of travertine marble rising sharply against the skyline. It serves as the largest monument in the city, situated at the entrance of Ibirapuera Park. The structure is officially known as the Obelisk and Mausoleum of the Heroes of nineteen thirty-two, commemorating the Constitutionalist Revolution that challenged the federal government that year.
