Kampong Phluk is a cluster of three villages where people live in houses built on tall wooden stilts. The name translates to Harbor of the Tusks, reflecting its history as a traditional trading center. These structures rise six to nine meters above the ground, a design required by the community living within the floodplain of the Tonle Sap lake.
