Banff Upper Hot Springs

other

The Banff Upper Hot Springs sits at an elevation of one thousand five hundred eighty-five meters on the side of Sulphur Mountain, making it the highest hot spring in Canada. You can recognize the site by its stone bathhouse, a designated federal heritage building originally constructed in nineteen thirty-two. The pool remains open year-round, fed by geothermal water that flows from a deep crack in the rock known as the Sulphur Mountain Thrust Fault.
