The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is defined by its massive, multi-winged structure that rises directly from the eastern shore of Lake Louise, framing the emerald water against the backdrop of the Victoria Glacier. This initial building, named Chalet Lake Louise, served as a modest base for climbers and outdoor enthusiasts visiting the mountain region.
