Lake Minnewanka is a twenty-one-kilometer-long glacial lake distinguished by its incredibly deep, clear water and the towering, jagged peaks of the Canadian Rockies that rim its shoreline. For thousands of years, the Stoney Nakoda First Nations have known these waters as Minn-waki, or the Lake of the Spirits.
