Capilano Suspension Bridge Park

The Capilano Suspension Bridge stretches four hundred fifty feet across the Capilano River, hanging two hundred thirty feet above the canyon floor. This simple suspension bridge is the centerpiece of a twenty-seven-acre park in North Vancouver. While the bridge is now a major destination, it began as a private crossing for a Scottish civil engineer named George Grant Mackay.
