The Bloedel Conservatory is a rounded, futuristic structure defined by its geodesic dome, which is covered in nearly fifteen hundred individual plexiglass bubbles. It sits at the highest elevation in Vancouver, an area once known as Little Mountain, and rests upon a former basalt quarry that supplied rock for the city's early road beds.
