Rouge Beach

natural

Rouge Beach is defined by the point where the Rouge River winds through marshland to meet the waters of Lake Ontario. This sandy shoreline marks the southern edge of Rouge National Urban Park, the first of its kind in Canada. Indigenous communities have utilized this river valley for thousands of years, and today the area serves as a habitat for diverse wildlife, including salmon that migrate through these channels each autumn.
