The Capilla del Hombre is a stone structure shaped like a truncated pyramid that overlooks Quito from the Bellavista neighborhood. Conceived by the Ecuadorian painter Oswaldo Guayasamín, it was built to house a collection of his paintings, murals, and sculptures dedicated to the peoples of Latin America and their history of suffering and hope.
