The Souq al-Nahhas workshop is identified by the rhythmic, metallic clatter of hammers against copper that spills out into the narrow streets near al-Muizz Street. Tucked away near the al-Aqmar Mosque and a local cafe, the site functions as an active center for traditional metalworking. Inside, craftsmen use age-old shaping and turning machines to transform flat sheets of raw copper into finished goods such as traditional coffee pots, incense burners, and trays.
