The Tallinn TV Tower is easy to spot from a distance by the prominent rings visible every two and a half meters along its concrete trunk. Standing three hundred fourteen meters tall, it remains the highest structure in Estonia. It was built between nineteen seventy-five and nineteen eighty, financed by the Soviet Union to improve telecommunications in preparation for the sailing regatta of the nineteen eighty Moscow Summer Olympics.
