Malmi Cemetery covers sixty-five hectares of land, making it the largest cemetery in Finland by both its total area and the number of burials it holds. Established in eighteen ninety-four on what was once a training camp for soldiers under the Finnish Crown, the site today contains approximately fifty thousand graves.
