Villa Cavrois is recognizable by its long, yellow brick facade and stark, geometric volumes that rise above the hill of Beaumont. Completed in nineteen thirty-two, this modernist mansion was built for the textile industrialist Paul Cavrois. Designed by architect Robert Mallet-Stevens, the residence served as a private home for Cavrois, his wife, and their seven children. Mallet-Stevens oversaw the entire project, creating what he envisioned as a modern château where every detail, from the layout to the custom furniture and lighting, reflected a commitment to light, hygiene, and technological innovation.
