The Cité de l'Espace is defined by the fifty-two meter Ariane five rocket that towers over its grounds. Opened in June nineteen ninety-seven on the initiative of the city of Toulouse, this scientific center serves as a gateway to the history and technology of space exploration. It was created with the support of partners including the National Center for Space Studies and various major aerospace manufacturers to bring the complexities of astronomy and astronautics to the public.
