Entremont is a triangular plateau rising above the landscape, marked by the stone foundations of an ancient Celto-Ligurian city. Settled between one hundred eighty and one hundred seventy BC, this site served as the capital for the Salyes confederation. It was protected by defensive walls and towers, enclosing a planned urban layout of streets, workshops, and houses that provided a clear view over the surrounding plains.
