The Stuttgart TV Tower rises above the hill called Hoher Bopser as a slender, concrete needle, topped with a circular, basket-like observation pod. Inaugurated on February fifth, nineteen fifty-six, it holds the distinction of being the first telecommunications tower in the world constructed from reinforced concrete.
