The EKŌ-Haus der Japanischen Kultur is set apart by its authentic Japanese architecture, which includes a traditional wooden house and a Shin-Buddhist temple. This complex is located in the Niederkassel district and serves as a center for Japanese spiritual and cultural life in Düsseldorf. Opened in nineteen ninety-three, the site was established with the support of Reverend Yehan Numata, a Buddhist scholar who aimed to promote a deeper understanding of Japanese culture and Buddhist traditions within Europe.
