Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari is a massive studio complex in Goregaon East, defined by its rugged, five hundred and twenty-acre expanse of hills, valleys, and artificial landscapes. Opened in nineteen seventy-seven, this facility was created by the Maharashtra government to provide an integrated home for the Indian film industry. Filmmakers V. Shantaram, B. R. Chopra, and Dilip Kumar were instrumental in its establishment, aiming to build a centralized hub that could meet every technical and creative demand of a production crew.
