Banganga Tank is a rectangular stone-lined pool surrounded by steep steps on all four sides, sitting in a cluster of shrines and old residential buildings on Malabar Hill. It is fed by a freshwater spring, which is the detail that makes it seem impossible, as the Arabian Sea is only meters away.
