Chomu Palace is defined by a massive, five-meter-thick outer wall, a remnant of its origins as the warrior fortress known as Chomugarh. Originally designed to protect the region from northern invaders, the structure was established in the early seventeenth century by Thakur Karan Singh. For generations, this site served as the stronghold for the Nathawat family, a branch of the Kachhwaha Rajputs who commanded the vanguard of the Jaipur army.
