The Maharana Pratap Museum in Haldighati is defined by its series of life-sized tableaus and dioramas that recreate the life of the Rajput king. Opened in two thousand three, this private museum was the personal project of Mohan Shrimali, a local teacher who used his own resources to document the history of the region. Rather than displaying a collection of hoary artifacts, the museum uses its displays and an audio-visual presentation to guide visitors through the events of the sixteenth century, focusing on the defense of Mewar.
