Bomerano is a village defined by its position on a high plateau of the Lattari Mountains, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. As a hamlet within the municipality of Agerola, it is best known as the gateway to the Path of the Gods, a hiking trail that connects the mountain slopes to the coastal village of Nocelle. The village itself is centered around Piazza Paolo Capasso, a square named in honor of a First World War gold medal recipient.
