These vivid piles of deep greens, earthy browns, and warm reds are a staple of the area’s persistent hum. The shop is one of several traditional spice merchants in Bourj Hammoud, a district that grew from a refugee settlement in the nineteen-twenties into a dense hub of Armenian culture and craftsmanship.
