The Museum of Moroccan Judaism is housed within an old villa in the Oasis neighborhood of Casablanca. Before it functioned as a museum, this building opened in nineteen forty-eight as the Murdock Bengio home for children, an orphanage established by Célia Bengio for Jewish youth. It later served as an Orthodox Jewish seminary for a decade before being converted to its current purpose in nineteen ninety-seven.
