Hamurana Springs is defined by the sight of water emerging from the earth with a distinct, vibrant clarity that shifts between shades of jade and turquoise. This site, located on the northern shore of Lake Rotorua, features the deepest natural freshwater spring in the North Island. The water originates on the Mamaku Plateau and spends seventy years traveling underground through volcanic rock before reaching the surface at a constant temperature of ten degrees Celsius.
