Kerosene Creek

other

Kerosene Creek, formally known as Hakereteke Stream, is a natural geothermal hot spring defined by its warm, mineral-rich water flowing through a dense forest setting. The stream features a notable two-meter-high waterfall that drops into a wide, natural soaking pool. Visitors often identify the site by the steam rising from the water against the backdrop of native trees and ferns, which distinguishes it from the surrounding landscape near the Waiotapu geothermal area.
