The Sultan's Armed Forces Museum is housed within the historic Bait Al Falaj Fort, a structure easily identified by its traditional defensive architecture located in the Bayt al Falaj district of Muscat. Built in eighteen forty-five during the reign of Sayyid Said bin Sultan, the fort was originally constructed as a royal summer residence. It transitioned into a military facility in nineteen oh seven, eventually serving as the headquarters for the Sultan's Armed Forces.
