Danbi Bridge

The Danbi Bridge is a raised, three hundred sixty meter long stone walkway within the Temple of Heaven park. It is easily identified by its width of nearly thirty meters and the fact that its northern end sits higher than its southern end, a design meant to create the sensation of ascending toward a celestial palace. Because a tunnel passes beneath the center of the path, this broad causeway is formally classified as a bridge.
