Panmen Gate sits at the southwest corner of the ancient city of Suzhou, marked by a dual structure that serves both land and water traffic. It is widely known as the Land and Water Gate, a design featuring an arched passage for boats to enter from the canal alongside a separate gate for those traveling on foot. The site includes a section of the city wall, the tall Ruiguang Pagoda, and the stone Wumen Bridge, which together form the three landmarks of the area.
