The Palacio de Goyeneche in the Sachaca district stands out as a sprawling country estate surrounded by large chomba trees. Built by the prominent Goyeneche family, this structure once functioned as a rural retreat for the Bishop of Arequipa, who resided here between eighteen eighteen and eighteen fifty-eight. The architect Lucas Poblete, who also designed the city's cathedral, oversaw the construction of this mansion at the bishop's request.
