Puyupatamarca

landmark

Puyupatamarca is a fifteen-building stone citadel perched at three thousand five hundred eighty meters, earning it the Quechua name for town above the clouds. You can identify the site by its steep agricultural terraces carved directly into the mountainside and a sophisticated irrigation system that channels mountain spring water through a series of six stone ceremonial baths.
