The Jeddah Flagpole stands at one hundred seventy-one meters tall, a cylindrical steel column rising from the center of King Abdullah Square. Its scale is visible from a great distance, dominated by the Saudi national flag that measures nearly fifty meters in length. The structure was erected in September twenty fourteen to mark the eighty-fourth National Day of Saudi Arabia.
