The foundation walls at Kosančićev venac mark the site where the National Library of Serbia stood until the Second World War. This open lot contains the excavated structural remains of the building destroyed on April sixth, nineteen forty-one. During the German bombing of Belgrade, an incendiary bomb struck the structure, which had been converted from a former paper and cardboard factory in nineteen twenty-five.
