High on the slopes of Namsan Mountain, a single Bodhisattva sits carved directly into a sheer cliff face. This figure, standing one point four meters tall, is known as the Sinseonam Hermitage Rock-carved Bodhisattva in Half-seated Posture. You can pick it out by the way it appears to float, resting in a relaxed, contemplative position upon a cloud-like pedestal, isolated high above the valley floor.
