Hospes Maricel

The Hospes Maricel stands out for its grand stone facade and deep sandstone arches that look directly out over the Mediterranean Sea. Built in nineteen fifty by architect Francesc Casas Llompart, this seaside hotel was designed to echo the regional style of seventeenth-century Mallorcan manor houses. It occupies a jagged outcropping of rock where the architecture seems to merge with the coastal landscape, using natural stone to anchor the building to the shore.
