Sa Calobra is defined by the narrow, winding road that descends from the Serra de Tramuntana mountains to reach the sea. This coastal enclave sits at the mouth of the Torrent de Pareis, a massive gorge carved by water over thousands of years. The road leading here, known as the Ma-twenty-one-forty-one, is famous for its hairpin bends and a two-hundred-seventy-degree spiral bridge called the Nus de sa Corbata, or the Tie Knot, which allows the road to loop over itself.
