The Phoenician settlement of Sa Caleta sits on a small, rocky peninsula on the southern coast of Ibiza. You can identify the site by the preserved stone foundations of an ancient urban center, which are protected behind a perimeter of iron fencing. This area was founded by Phoenician settlers in the late eighth century before the common era and served as their initial base on the island.
