The Museo Casa Natal Federico García Lorca is a traditional, white-walled farmhouse with a central courtyard located in the town of Fuente Vaqueros. Built in eighteen eighty, this building served as the family home where the poet Federico García Lorca was born on June fifth, eighteen ninety-eight. The structure was acquired by the Diputación de Granada in nineteen eighty-two and opened as a museum in nineteen eighty-six, following a restoration guided by the poet’s sister, Isabel García Lorca.
