The Baños del Almirante are recognizable by the series of small, eight-pointed star-shaped skylights set into the arched roof, which once held colored glass to filter the light into the chambers below. This brick building sits in the historical center of Valencia, positioned right next to the Palacio de los Almirantes de Aragón. While the structure follows the traditional layout of an Islamic hammam—with a cold room, a warm room, and a hot room—it was actually commissioned by the knight Pere de Vilarasa during the Christian era, with construction beginning in thirteen thirteen.
