Riddarholmen Church

religious

Riddarholmen Church is identifiable by its distinctive cast-iron spire, which features an ornate, crown-topped design that rises prominently above the Stockholm skyline. This brick structure is the oldest preserved building in the city, with its origins tracing back to a Franciscan priory founded in twelve seventy. After the Protestant Reformation, the priory closed and the building transitioned into a royal burial church, a function it held until nineteen fifty.
