Luegislandturm

historic

The Luegislandturm is the tallest and oldest structure along the Musegg Wall, the medieval fortification that arcs above Lucerne. You can identify it by its narrow stone silhouette, which reaches fifty-two point six meters in height, and its steeply pitched tiled roof that shifts from a square base to an eight-sided top. While once thought to be older, archaeological research dates its construction to between thirteen sixty-eight and thirteen seventy.
