The Schirmerturm, or Umbrella Tower, is a medieval stone structure standing twenty-seven and a half meters high along the Musegg Wall in Lucerne. Its exterior features pale stonework, a row of rounded arches beneath a low pyramidal roof, and a passage carved through its base. Built in fourteen-twenty, the tower once acted as a gatehouse that controlled movement between the city and the surrounding countryside.
